Watch Hollywood Movie @ RM20/Pax In Future ?!?!

Recently Malaysian Film Producers Association's proposal of increasing Hollywood movies' ticket price to RM20 per person at all the cinema throughout Malaysia has been accepted by Malaysian Government.

Do you think that this proposal will help in local movie's industry boost? From what I understand, they came out with this proposal hoping that local people will support or watch Malaysian made movie more instead of imported movie due to the ticket price's difference. Personally, I find this proposal hillarious and I wonder who initialized this idea or proposal. And the funny thing is, someone really thinks that it will works and that is why it has been approved!

Come on la.. talking about economy wise, who will go to cinema to watch movie anymore if it cost you RM20 per movie?!?! If a couple go to the cinema how much will it cost? Simple maths can tell. 2 x RM20 = RM40 + RM15 (Pop corn & drink) = RM55. RM55 to be spent for a movie? in this kind of economy downturn time?!

The next thing you will observe... this proposal is actually a boost not to the local movie industry, but pirated DVD industry.. I can immagine that the pirated DVD business owner is actually saying thank you to the MFPA & government for such an impliment...

End of Minex Treasure Hunting on X'mas Eve...

Reached Tun Jugah at 10.50am and the was already a small crowd of bloggers awaiting anxiously outside Minex Jewellery store for the Grand Prize event..

Only 2 Contain Diamond Pendent In It. Who's The Lucky One...???

300 jewellery boxes were arrange at an open space at the 1st floor of Tun Jugah Centre, where there were only 2 boxes that contained diamond pendent that worth a total of RM5000.

Crowd on the spot...i wonder which one contains that pendant?!?!

Benjamine to launch the "lucky pick" @ 11.10am

Benjamine: Ok.. 1 person can pick 1 box. Good luck everyone..

I wonder which one contains the diamond pendant?!?

Ok..I choose this one lah..

And this is what I "won" myself a pack of Silica Gel.. hahaha

So, after everyone taken a box for the first round, only 1 girl got lucky and she picked the one with the pendant. That means, there is another one somewhere in there and still pending for the rightful owner. Benjamine was nice enough that he give us another round of chance and everyone gets to pick their second box. As for me, still I got myself a silica gel :(

But someone just got in luck today that she got both the Grand Prize today. Exactly the same girl. She was so happy with her bf besides her. She also got one of the hidden treasure the other day. So, in total, she had already got 3 diamond pendants with her.. WOW!!!

Couple showing off their diamond pendants

Beautiful diamond pendant (1)

It lights my way.

Good luck everyone...

Day 7 Treasure Hunting

Day 7 - Riddle of the day = "Climb through a window and eat an apple. Where else better to enjoy this? Find your Lucky 7 and I'll be there". Treasure was found by someone at Wisma Saberkas Level 7 Car Park.

Tried my luck early in the morning at Big Apple & McDonald's (Since they serve Apple Pie thru window from kitchen. hehehehe...) but then seems like it has nothing to do with "Apple" at all.. haih.. guessed that either I'm not good at the riddle solving.. or the riddle misdirect me... :P Luckily I did not spend much time looking for the treasure today.. will never thought of Wisma Saberkas.. NeVeR!!! :P Anyway, congrats to that lucky fella.. I guessed he must have saw it coincidencely when he parking at the car park to go shopping at Saberkas.. :)

Btw, Day 6 treasure still yet to be found... try your luck!!

Day 5 & 6 of Treaure Hunting...

Day 5 - Was my 2nd day of treasure hunting. Search all the possible places that I can think of by the word "staring into space". Went to places like the Cats statue in front of McDonald's that stars into space and also Civic Centre in rain... Still nowhere to be seen.. Saw a few couples wandering around Civic Centre area searching the bushes and all the possible places that they could think of, but still no sign. End up, we all go home empty handed, crushing our heads thinking where could the "treasure" possibly be?!?! Never mind, forget about it.. who knows someone already found it and I better try my luck tomorrow...

Day 6 - Got a phone call from Marie early in the morning around 9am telling me what Day 6 riddle is all about once it was being posted in the net. Here how it sounds like, "Under the roof of the independent warrior, I'll be lurking in the shadow". The very first place I could think of is the Heroes' Monumen Garden in front of Saint. Jude. By the time we got there around 9.45am, the rain was pouring heavily and there were already a few people searching there with umbrella.. :) So, without hesitation, I guessed that this should be the right venue and we jump out from the car with umbrella of course and join in the hunt of Day 6 treasure...

The Heroes' Monumen

By 10am, I noticed that alot more people coming in the same venue and search high and low for the "blue box with white ribbon"..

Marie: Could it be at the bushes behind the monumen?! since the clue says that it is lurking in the shadow...

After a few hours search, lastly we gave up and thinking like someone must have taken it and went home with an exhausted look.. :P (I mean me la.. since it was my 3rd day in a roll). Although we end up didn't find anything, but then it was quite fun cos' we have not been having such an activity together before.. :)

Later when I check online, it was reported that the Day 5 treasure was found underneath one of the KFC dining table at the airport where can view theBold airplane take off and landing by an unknown person..

Marie did mentioned about the airport but we ended up concluding that so many people going about there and yet so big that building.. where to find?!? Sure taken already la.. And she was right..

For those who knows where Day 6 riddle is referring to... you still stand a chance.. treasure yet to be found..

Treasure Hunting in Kuching

It has been raining day and night recently in Kuching for the past few days, yet there is alot of people going out around Kuching with umbrella wishing to look for RM1.5K worth of jewellery hidden daily somewhere around the "Cat City" with a riddle in hand. :P
Got see any treasure or not?

For those of you who still do not know what's going on...let me explain to you.. Minex Jewellery which is located at Tun Jugah, Kuching is currently organizing a "Finder's Keepers" treasure hunting event daily from 15th of December until 24th of December 2008. The treasure can be hidden anywhere around town and if you follow the riddle/clue given every morning by 8.45am at a temporary Minex website http://www.minexjewellery.tk/ .

This is what the hunters are looking for....

This activity actually caught my interest when I get to know about it. The best thing is I am on my off days and since I have nothing much to do at home, mind as well I try my luck on street with an umbrella of cause since raining season nowadays in Kuching. So, the next time when you drive around in town and get to see people searching high and low, in and out of the bushes, rubbish bin or trees especially in rainy day, just remember this, they are not "Crazy People", there are just "Treasure hunter" :)

So, this is how the riddle/clue sounds like:-

Day 1 riddle = At this place where friends meet,a giant litters over the crytostachys renda.

Where it was found = Under a Rubbish Bin @ Friendship Park

Day 2 riddle = Take the train to where the hungry gather, where 8 marks the spot

Where it was found = 5 Loaves @ Jalan Kereta Api

Day 3 riddle = Remember the day we became one,You'll find me lost in a round of cheers.

Where it was found = Padang Merdeka Opposite St Thomas Church under the Big Tree

Day 4 riddle = Out in the open, yet hidden in a bunch. The path of winding water you shall follow,Until a 101114221716 crosses your path.

Where it was found = One of the bushes along Hilton opposite Water Front

Day 5 riddle = Before you leave in search of treasure, Let me first arrive at this place. There you'll find me staring into space.

Where it was found = Yet to be found (Interested to join the fun? You still have chance..)

Personally, I only started the hunt on Day 4. For Day 4, I was so close yet so far.. I did my search alot of places including the bushes along Hilton hotel but I did not see anything. At the same time, I saw a few people there searching along the bushes as well after my arrival around 2pm. I was so certain that I got the right place, but where is it hidden?!?! Finally, I gave up cos the rain gets heavier and I thought I might be wrong..

Later that night, I went to Minex to take my resized ring and I was told by Fong that she heard from some blogger said that a sweeper aunty got it while sweeping along that Hilton walkway along the bushes area.. What the ?!?!?! I spend so much time search high and low and she just sweep her diamond jewellery out for herself.. :) But then, it was her luck la.. So, that ends up Day 4. But I was told that the aunty haven't redeem her jewellery from Minex la.

Will update my Day 5 & 6 hunting soon... stay tune..

My Virgin Post :P

Hi all,

My name is Darren Loo and I am from a small town in the Borneo Island called Kuching. This is my very first blog that I have wrote and I hope this will be a very good place for me to post in as many experiences that I have gone through throughout my journey in life. That's the reason why I name my blog "Wealth of Life".

I have been surfing the "blogger's world" for quite sometime and I never thought that one day I will get myself to be apart of it. I browse through alot of blogs and I never leave any sign behind, such as comment or etc. All I do is read and go. End in mind is, I do not have time for blogging at all.. work til late everyday and all I wanna do when I get home is to get into the shower, fill my stomach and get a good rest for the next day's war (work) again.

But then all of that changed. That's the reason why you get to see me blog today. I know this might not be an impressive start, but what the heck, need time to pick up the skills along the way wad.. So, you might be asking, why change? Reason(s)?

Because....

1) Got myself a new laptop (an NEC Versa S5600).
2) More relaxation time since I realized it is time for me to change my work.
3) Always wanted to be a part of the blogging world.
4) Get to know more friends.
5) This is what I wanted to do. Get myself a "voice out channel" to the poeple around the world.

So, to those bloggers out there.. hopefully I'm welcome by you to the blogger's family.

Guessed that's all for now...
